Project Description:
Copyright for Librarians is a project of the Berkman Center for Internet & Society and eIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries, a consortium of libraries from 50 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe) developing a distance learning curriculum on copyright targeted to librarians.
For more detailed information please consult the Project Webpage.
H2O Rotisserie:
The H2O Rotisserie is the tool where you will answer questions, likely to enable community building and collaborative work. It manages the process of sending questions to those enrolled in the course; and host assignments and the discussion between the participants after reading the course material. Our goal with this tool is to give the course the interactivity that will enrich the learning process by allowing learners from different backgrounds and perspectives to dialog, with the common goal of understanding how copyright law works and what are the different practices and options.
On the Rotisserie Session Webpage you can find further information.

Today we held the first online project coordination meeting. We are right on track with requirement analysis – mostly thanks to the great work being done by FFHS. we already collacted 35 real cases of copyright issues in e-learning in Switzerland. As it appears, there is urgent need for some training on our topic!

Dice started its requirement analysis by collecting stories of issues and solutions about digital copyright management. To this purpose, the Fernfachhochschule Schweiz in Brig developed a short online survey.
If you are a teaching staff member at any Swiss higher education institution, please take a few minutes to help us! Thanks!
Here are the links to the online-survey (available in three languages):

The DICE project had its kick-off meeting in Zurich on September 2nd.
Partners reviewed their goals, tasks and schedule, and started to work on content issues. The DICE website is now up, managed by USI, along with a Plone sharing repository managed by UNIGE.
FFHS rolled on requirements analysis, which is the next task to be tackled.
